We also affectionately call this sentence error number one. The assumption that you are lying in a hammock with a round back, like a banana, is due to one reason: incorrect use. Probably the most important rule when it comes to hammocks is this:
A hammock has to sag. Only when your hammock between the trees has the curvature of a banana have you done everything right.
But that's not all; Because to lie really flat and comfortably in a hammock, there is another trick: lying diagonally.
Correct. Feet slightly to the left and head slightly to the right. So you enlarge the line on which you are lying and the back is no longer crooked. And at the latest now it is so convenient that a 20 minute power nap is off the table.

Fall asleep faster
According to a study by Current Biology magazine , you fall asleep faster in a hammock than you do in a bed. In this study, 12 subjects were observed in a sleep laboratory. They slept once in a normal bed and once in a hammock. This is probably due to the fact that lying in a hammock automatically leads to a perfect sleeping position in which the body lies on the back and the head rests between 10-30% higher.
The influence of exercise on sleep behavior was observed at the University of Geneva . Here, the subjects were invited to sleep in a bed that was weighed at intervals like a connecting rod. The participants went to the second phase of sleep more quickly. In addition, this deep sleep phase lasted longer.
