Hanging out at the Federal Horticultural Show: HÄNG Outdoors donates hammocks

  • Outdoor start-up HÄNG donates hammocks to the Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland for the Federal Horticultural Show.
  • HÄNG wants to encourage even more people to relax outside in the coming months.

Wuerselen, April 20, 2021.

Being relaxed and lazy outside - even more people should be able to do that this summer. The founders of outdoor start-up HÄNG, Tobias Tullius and Vincent Hommel, donate to the Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland e. V. (BUND) ultra-light hammocks.

The young entrepreneurs want to lure more people into nature with their hammocks. "For me, time spent outside is the best," reveals Tullius. "This desire for adventure, the enthusiasm for nature - I want to make it possible for everyone. That's why HANG exists. And because I was too lazy to lug around bulky equipment on hiking tours myself."

The donation comes just in time before this year's Federal Horticultural Show opens in Erfurt. This year the BUND is again cooperating with the organizers of the Federal Horticultural Show and is providing one of the external locations - the BUND's own natural garden in Bad Langensalza.

The hammocks hang in this natural garden from April to October and are available to all visitors - a successful highlight, according to Tobias Tullius. "The last year was exhausting for all of us. Everyone deserves a break. I think it's a great change to go out and just switch off. And that works best in a hammock, surrounded by nature."

Johannes Papke from the BUND is also pleased: "Our goal is to make people aware that nature is a friend. This includes dealing with and living with nature. We love to relax in nature without harming it "HANGING fits in perfectly with our values, as they are not harmful to trees. The hammocks also give our audience the opportunity to relax in nature and learn more."

The Federal Horticultural Show opens on April 23 and offers numerous events throughout the summer, including in the BUND natural garden.
